I am a PhD student in Archaeology at the University of Bristol, analysing the human remains from excavations in Repton in Derbyshire. I started this blog in March 2013 as a way to communicate my research and the development of my PhD project to anyone who might be interested.
From an outreach and communication point of view, the aim is to reach a wider audience than what I would otherwise. So many excellent research projects end their days as hardbound theses in a university library somewhere, or at best in an academic journal which might be inaccessible to the general public. The site my project is based on has had a lot of media interest, and I would like to share my experiences of working on this unique material as widely as possible.

Hello, I would be interested to know the extent of analysis that was performed on the skeletal remamins at Repton. Is there a database with the information discovered? Measurements, etc and will there be access to the raw data in time?
ReplyDeleteI was an Archaeology student at Bristol University from 2011-14 (full time) and 2008-11 (part-time). I am currently studying Vikings at the University of Highland & Islands and would like to know more about the osteological information?
